“With all the respect towards tournament and competition, we want to win!” With this statement Red Bull Brasil introduced themselves to the last tournament and they kept word. This year the cup champion defends the trophy. For sure the viewers can expect a fairly strong team and a mix between South American football magic and European football culture. Fast offensive counter attacks, outstanding feeling for the ball and a rigorous defense were attributes in their game last year. Similar to their European counterparts, Red Bull Salzburg and Red Bull Leipzig, the club offers great conditions for the future football youth talents in Brazil. In line with the Red Bull strategy some players collect first professional football experience in lower leagues at partner clubs like Sao Jose FC (3rd Brazilian league). Proof that this strategy works globally is 18 years old Lucas Xavier Urias who won the tournament with Red Bull Brazil in 2016 and was afterwards transferred to Red Bull partner FC Liefering (2nd Austrian league).
